Sri Lanka

There is so much to explore in the fascinating interior of the island stretching right up to the North where it appears time has stood still. Trincomalee and Jaffna welcome visitors and although still relatively undeveloped there are good places to stay, eat and lots to see and explore.

Its dazzling interior reveals emerald green paddy fields, iridescent birds, Buddhist temples and shrines, historic kingdoms, misty hills and lakes festooned with colourful lotus flowers and elegant tea plantations sprinkled with luxury Sri Lankan boutique hotels. The remaining jungles allow elephants to roam free and leopards to stalk prey in National parks like Yala in the south of the island. Maldives
